Dinner at the table.

I love dinner at the table. It's so nice to sit down to a healthy meal with the one you love and chat about the day gone by, about what's to come, or even about nothing at all.

It is nice by candlelight or just the light overhead. The ambiance is already set by the act of being together.

And I must say that it's especially nice when you have a beautiful vintage tablecloth from your lovely Mum, with coordinating placemats, and even chargers.

Honestly, the chargers are a bit decorative for everyday use in my opinion, but they are currently serving the purpose of keeping my pain-in-the-butt cat from flipping the tablecloth and placemat all over the place. She still succeeds in shifting things around, but at least it's improved with the weight of the charger.

Today I am incredibly cheerful- especially for a hump day. Eating dinner at the table adds to my joy. I am thankful for time with my husband, a home-cooked meal, and a pretty table at which to eat our dinner.
