Awesomeness.

When Mom came to visit in early December, we discussed journaling and creative stuffs like we often do and one of the things we talked about was doing a shared journal. We decided to adjust the typical shared journal, which you write in and then mail back and forth, and instead create journal cards for each other and send two a month throughout the year.

I made Mom her first card for Christmas and my sister even decided to join and made one for her as well. Mom was very surprised by my sister's card and it's going to be great to have her participate.
I got my first cards (shown in this post) this week. Each came with a personalized note on the back (or accompanying on a separate card). They're both beautiful and I was thrilled to receive two! I was just expecting the one for January, but Mom had made one for Christmas too.

It's going to be so awesome to use this as a way to stay creative throughout the year, as well as a thoughtful way to keep in touch through the fading art of snail mail.
