After last week’s “Just Do It’ post, I felt really good and motivated. I wrote out a big list and starting crossing things off. From small things like finally taking the Christmas lights off the porch, which I only turned on once all winter but that’s another story, to shaking-down the entry closet so we could actually find things in there without digging.
I was going to write today about more things I’d done, but when I looked at my planner, where I enter tasks for each day (some from The List, but mostly not) and then cross them off, I found that things were pretty standard, mostly just everyday things. And I was okay with that.
The thing about The List is, it was mainly to get things out of my head. All these to-dos that were floating around and just needed to be put in their place, to wait for when I am able to do them. I got them all out and they didn’t seem as urgent, and that felt great.
Even more importantly, getting those tasks out freed up space, or focus rather, for a more important list, the one with the priorities I don’t write down, but know by heart come first.
