The first Grammie Rose’s Camp event went wonderfully. There were 14 women gathered, including Mom and I, and we had a great time chatting and creating.
Everyone brought Valentines to exchange and the at-event craft was making heart-shaped envelopes to bring them home in. Even those with a little uncertainty about their ability dug right in, assembling their hearts with glitter, cut and pasted paper, doodling, and whatever else came to mind.
For nibbling, there were cupcakes with vintage Valentine images and sugar cookies with sprinkles, as well as fruit salad and a heart-shaped batch of lemon squares made by a guest.
I am really looking forward to seeing what Mom will come up with for the next gathering and I pray that Grammie Rose’s Camp continues to be as successful as this first event was.
