For the last couple weeks, exhaustion has kind of taken over my life. This past weekend was the worst – I got up in the morning (on Saturday, LATE morning) and went straight to the couch, where I alternated between reading and napping for the rest of the day. And unlike the usual situation when I nap during the day, I did not have a hard time getting to sleep at night. It is unreal how much I can sleep!
I know I need to rest and take care of myself, but part of taking care of myself and being in a good place is making sure my husband and my home are taken care of as well. Now I’m not talking about being queen of the housewives with a spotless condo and dinner on the table every night, but I know there are small things I can do regularly to keep things nice.
Of course, there will be days when napping is all I can really handle, and on those days I’ll rest to the max and be okay with letting things wait. That’s something I’ve been learning to do anyways, so this will just be extra practice.

Relax. Sleep awhile. Your body needs. it. You will have your routines, and will follow them. The house will be fine, and so will Casey. You'll see.
But, making a baby is hard work. You need those naps. :o)
