I had a great visit with my mom last week. It was nice to have her here, both for her company and for her extra pair of hands, especially when I wasn’t feeling well the beginning of the week.
Now that she’s gone, though, it’s time to get back to business. Abel went through a rough patch while she was here – no, not because of her! – but also started to regulate a bit more. He kind of has a schedule going. Not as much sleep at night as I’d like, but he’s getting there. It helps that I’m learning his cues and to really just let him be and go with the flow rather than being frustrated because I expect things to be a certain way and they’re not that way… what a silly thing to do when really I know nothing and am learning all the time!
So I’m learning and adapting and slowly getting more and more done around the house. I’ve got projects in mind, as well as getting back into an everyday housekeeping routine, and the more I figure out his schedule, the easier it is… yay to that!
