Since Casey is out of town this week, Karen and I decided to have a Valentine’s girls night. We made a super tasty dinner and are watching The Help.
The challenge part of this was to make dinner with stuff I already had in the house. I often get caught up in going out and getting stuff special, but it’s important to me right now to save money and use it up – “it” being what we’ve got.
We served the chicken and “topping” with rice and corn bread. The marinade had the perfect sweetness and the whole meal was super tasty. Including a cherry cobbler. Yum yum!
Other major sweetness of my day was this little guy, all decked out for Valentine’s Day in an outfit from his Nana. He’s getting so big, but that just means there’s more and more to love!
