After being gone for eighteen days, I thought it would be really hard to come back. But I am thankfully becoming more appreciative of this Virginia home of ours, which allows me to more comfortably ease back into this space and our “normal” life and routine.
I am so grateful for the time away though. Time spent collecting memories with family and friends in favorite places, celebrating love and weddings, soaking up friendship and sunshine and the beauty of my home state.
It was a wonderful and refueling respite. I am energized to tackle my every days with thoughtfulness and care. Plus, there was a prize waiting for me in the mail when I returned.
It is my Mother’s Day present – a tiny stacking ring with Abel’s name on it. It’s only just arrived because I took forever getting my finger measured, but it was totally worth the wait.
I love it, and I’m not going to rush anything, but I’ll be so happy to add another when number two arrives. Let’s hope Kathryn Riechert is still in business then!
