I did not get a preferable amount of sleep last night, but somehow I still woke up invigorated this morning. Like high on life, carpe diem, let’s do the damn thing invigorated. My spirit was happy and so was I.
I fueled the happiness fire with time spent outside. Abel and I took two walks today, one this morning and one in the afternoon. I soaked in the sunshine… and the chilly fall air. Amen, Virginia, you’re figuring it out.
I really enjoy walking with Mr. Abel these days because he likes to point stuff out. Especially dogs, dump trucks, and airplanes. Pretty much without fail on those things.
This afternoon, I showed him a crunchy fallen leaf and after crunching it a bit, he held on to it for most of the rest of the walk. By the stem, with his arm propped up on the side of the stroller like it was a prize. But it was with his pointing finger hand, so eventually he had to let go.
I spent the rest of the day settling back into home. Folding like four loads of laundry and cleaning up coming back from being away messes. I am eager for fall cleaning and cozying, and it felt great to start the week right with a motivated Monday.
