Travel Day

PB210169

I was up at just after four this morning.  I showered, packed the final items for our trip, checked off my pre-vacay housekeeping duties, and locked the door behind Casey as he snuggled our little pajama’d boy down to the car.

Now, seventeen and a half hours later, I’m nestled on my parent’s couch, listening to my dad chuckle at the ridiculousness of The Expendables 2, smelling the lovely smells of early Thanksgiving prep wafting from the kitchen, and thanking God for our safe travels today and the opportunity to be here to celebrate with our family.

I wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving tomorrow.  May you have something to be thankful for, even something small or ordinary, no matter where or how or who you spend the holiday with.
