Well, hello there.

As you may have noticed, I took a break from posting. An unannounced break. It was freeing and refreshing to do so, but now I'm back.

I've been fighting what my Mom and I have dubbed the "Fall Funk." I know it may sound kind of gross and smelly, but really it just means it's that time of year when I'm not quite myself and struggle a bit to function productively.

It was especially bad after Hubs and I got back from our vacation, which is understandable, but I'm doing much better now and I am motivated to get the heck over it and get some stuff done.

One of my goals in the next month is to go through the entire condo and declutter a bit. I know there are things lingering throughout that can be sorted and then tossed or donated. It irks me to know that and that's why I'm going to do something about it.

Another goal is to significantly cut the amount of TV I watch... yes, AGAIN. I've not been that great about it in previous attempts, but this time I'm serious. I've got so much other stuff I'd rather be doing, so I'm determined to come home, get my housekeeping duties done, and then go in any room but the living room and do that stuff I'd rather be doing, like reading and creating and listening to music. Thankfully, my Mom has this same goal and so we'll be holding each other accountable.

In an additional effort to get over the "Fall Funk," I've bought a spot in an online class called "Learn Something New Every Day" at shimelle.com. It's going to involve creating a journal with daily prompts through the month of September. I'm really looking forward to having a focused project to work on that will help get me through, with the added bonus that Mum will be participating too.

So, that's what's been up.

Now I'm off to keep house and get my creative groove on in the guest room. Check back to see some projects I'd been working on and hope to complete with my new motivation, as well as my something new learned every day.

Blessings and Happy Monday!

So glad to see you back! I know you will be out of your funk before you know it.
