Tuesday, May 4

On Tuesday, Mom and I got up bright and early to get to the airport in Co. Springs. We flew from there to Atlanta for a layover and then to VA. Mom had a layover in VA before flying to VT and I was picked up at the airport and brought home just to head back out to the Pioneer Woman cookbook signing.
I'd been to a signing at this Borders before, but it wasn't nearly as packed as this! From where I was standing (in the travel book section), this was to the left...
In front of me...
And to the right, where the podium was...
When Ree first came out, she made sure to document the crowd.
She was really sweet and kind. She said a few things, answered a few questions, but then said we all knew about her so she wanted to get to the signing so she could find out a bit about us.
I waited in line an hour for her signature, and there were still like a hundred or more people behind me waiting! She was really nice though, asked everyone how they were doing, and made sure that everyone got a good picture.
It was a great finale to an awesome weekend. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to go on such a trip with two of my favorite ladies, and then to finish it off by meeting someone who's life I admire; it was amazing!
