Casey and I eat pizza pretty much every Friday night. We used to make our own dough every now and again, normally buying frozen, but for the past few weeks I’ve made it for every Friday.
I’ve been using this super simple recipe (the dough part only) from The Pioneer Woman, which makes enough for two nights (I just freeze the second half and use it the next Friday). While the other recipe Casey uses never seemed quite right when I made it, this one turns out well every time. Whether I make thick crust (like I like it) or thin (like Casey likes it), it is a great consistency and super delicious.
Tonight’s toppings, which are pretty standard, are: spinach (on top of the sauce, under the cheese), mozzarella, red and yellow peppers, red onion, and turkey ‘roni. Although we normally use pretty much that set of toppings, the options are endless.
I am glad for how simple and tasty this recipe is. It’s great to make our own – there’s just something better about it that way. And I love that Friday night is pizza night at our house; it’s a tradition I look forward to sharing with littles in the future.

Remember the days of going to S&L Video for a Friday night movie rental? I made countless homemade pizzas (and the occasional frozen one as well!) Not to mention, garbage bread..... It warms my heart that the tradition continues. It's a wonderful way to end a busy week.
I absolutely remember! I should have mentioned we didn't start this tradition, but that it's something I've taken from you and Pa! :)
