We drove to Nashville on Wednesday. Upon arrival, we met up with my friend Heather and her cousin Tanya at Tootsie’s.
We ate dinner at Rippy’s.
Then hung out at honky tonks until bedtime.
On Thursday, Casey and I made our way to Memphis.
We ate lunch at the Blues City Café, where we sat in the same booth Tom Cruise sat in when he visited.
After lunch, we walked down to the Mississippi….
And then rested in the hotel for a bit before heading back out to eat dinner at Rendevous.
After dinner, we enjoyed the nightlife of Beale Street, including stops at the Rum Boogie Café, where we tried gator gumbo, and the BB King’s Blues Club.
On Friday, we got up and drove to McKinney, Texas. We enjoyed the rehearsal dinner and catching up with family on Friday night. Then on Saturday, we got up and hung out until it was time to go to the beautiful wedding.
The wedding was followed by a super fun reception, including chocolate fountain, bountiful candy table, photo booth, and dancing.
On Sunday, we got up and said our goodbyes before heading back to Nashville for the night. We had dinner at Rippy’s again (because Jack’s closes early on Sundays) and then spent some time at Tootsie’s and The Stage.
We headed back to VA on Monday, which was the longest day in the car. Even with all that driving time, we were thankful for the opportunity to take the trip and to make some wonderful memories together and with family.
