My BIG project of Sunday was putting two more shelves in our guest room closet. Hubby couldn't help because he hurt his ankle again and was glued to his chair in the living room. Not that I need him, I'm not one of those fussy-can't do anything around the house-wives. It is amazing how much better the guest room looks now that that this closet is a better storage space. I am going to be going through all this stuff in order to get rid of stuff we don't need/use/etc. But for now it's nice to put it away in a closet so I don't have to look at it strewn about my guest room.
Here are some before and afters of the guest room from Sunday. Most of it got better just because of the closet fix up, but some of it was me moving things around and purging. And may I just say that I need to find a new verb. The word "purging" kind of grosses me out.
Pretty picture of the day. This photo doesn't nearly express what this cloud looked like. I went to pick up pizza on Sunday night and it just loomed over the entire skyline, almost like mountains. Of course by the time I had gotten the pizza, gotten back home, and grabbed my camera, it had diminished a bit. Aw well, it's still beautiful.
And in case you want to keep up with my FlyLady endeavors, today and tomorrow's zone is the Living Room. The "Kelly's Mission" for the day was to find all the hidden clutter in the living room and sort it out/get rid of it. Our living room is pretty clear of clutter, except for this little set of drawers. I cleaned them out and found proper homes for the crap... I mean stuff... that was in them.
The bottom drawer contained, and still contains, rolls for coins. I decided to go through our change and roll some of it up.
In addition to all these homemaking projects, I also carted Hubby to the doctor to have his ankle looked at. They wanted to do an x-ray, but they wanted us to wait around several hours for it. Hubby took the crutches and we went home. If it doesn't get better, he's got a check up next Monday. In the meantime, I get to chauffer him around because it's his right ankle and he can't drive. Ahh, the life of a devoted wifey.
