IT'S FRIDAAAAYYYY!!!!!!

In advance, please excuse the random.

Hubby shouts that in a way I can hear in my head when I see it written like that. Today when I thought those words, though, all I could think of was this e-mail that used to get sent around on Fridays at his firm, which is where I worked right out of college. Maybe you've heard of it before, but maybe not. It's called Van Damme Friday. Urbandictionary.com defines "Van Damme Friday" as the following: lack of work production on Friday afternoon, often characterized by sending e-mails of Jean Claude Van Damme dancing horribly. I guess I didn't realize this was a "universal" thing, but apparently the tradition occurs outside of Casey's firm. Although my Friday afternoon was not lacking in work production (will the transcripts ever end?!?!) and I didn't get an e-mail of the Van Damme clip, I did find it out on the web. Please enjoy. Or not.

Okay, honestly, I don't get it. I really don't find this that funny, but whatever, others find it funny and hopefully at least one person reading this smiles at least a little. If not, sorry I shared. (puppy lip face)

Because of various questions about last night's post, here is what a cooz-e is: an insulated holder for keeping drinks, in cans or bottles, cool. It is also spelled coozy or coozie, as well as Koozie (which I think is a brand). These are more often used spellings, but if people don't want to be gangster, that's their choice. You can see examples of each type of cooz-e below, courtesy (unbeknownst to him) of Hubby. (Blogger says "unbeknownst" is not a word/spelled right, but it is. Merriam-Webster says so.)

As you can see from the example, can coozies often have some intelligent (oh how I wish sarcasm could be transferred through the internet) saying or phrase. Apparently the phrase on Hubby's cooz-e reminds him of an old boss.

This weekend is going to be a lot less event filled than last weekend. Hubby and I are going to a wedding tomorrow. His business frat "brother" Berkeley and her man are getting married. It's a coed frat and she's a girl, hence the quotation marks around the word brother. I guess "sister" just doesn't have the same ring to it for accountants and financial analyst types. Anyways, I'm looking forward to a mini-road trip with the Hubs and an afternoon/evening of celebrating the wonderfulness of love. And then on Sunday, I'm going to rest. And when I say rest, I mean sleep and/or doze in bed and/or on the couch. Thank you Lord for not just the opportunity to do this, but the instruction to do so.

Blessings and happy weekend to all!
