Findings from the Weekend...

This is a painting I saw on Friday and didn't bring home because I wasn't sure where I'd hang it. Mom said I should get it so I wouldn't regret leaving it behind. I told her that doesn't happen to me, I don't regret things I don't buy.

Well, when we got home we realized that it WOULD fit on the wall in the kitchen. Turns out I can feel that didn't-buy-it regret. Fortunately, when I called on Sat. morning to see if it was still there, it was. So we made the trip back to Chartreuse & Co. to pick it up.

I hung it up this afternoon and I love love love it.
This is a little vase I got for a buck at Chartreuse & Co. It's just one of those pretty things that fits in with some of my other stuff. My husband proceeded to tell me, after seeing this and me saying "it was just a dollar!", that he'd rather I buy one $1000 item instead of one-thousand $1 items. I wasn't really listening though, so he can keep saying such things over and over without it really affecting me. Haha. :)
Below is probably my best find of the day. Hubs and I have been wanting a mirror for the dining room. Of course, a mirror the size we were looking for was going to cost a pretty penny, so we've been waiting. Low and behold, I got lucky when searching one of the barns at Chartreuse and Co. and came across this beauty. Guess how much it was?

It was just $5! It needs a little TLC, like maybe some sanding and it will likely get a dark stain, but just the mirror alone is worth more than five bucks. Of course, there was the effort to get in into my little Honda, but it will be more than worth it once I get it fixed up and on the wall.
It's going to hang above where it is leaning. Hanging it will be a project because it weighs a lot, but fortunately I'm familiar with ways to hang heavy things, so it will take some more effort, but it will be so worth it in the end.
Finally, this is my very first vintage tablecloth... that I've purchased. My Mom gifted me one a few months ago, but this is the first one I've found that I really loved and that fit in my price range. It's got a few pinholes, but I'm gentle with such things so I'm not worried about those. It goes beautifully with my jadite plates!
The weekend was great and I'm so happy with my purchases. New things are nice, but sometimes reusing/refreshing/renewing is so much more satisfying.

I'm really looking forward to my next shopping adventure with my Mum, probably including trips to several of the places we went to this weekend. I'm so thankful for the opportunities to spend time with her, as well as visit new places.

Blessings and Happy Tuesday!

It was a wonderful weekend. I love the tablecloth (naturally). I'm already trying to figure out how I can afford to come down again this spring before it gets too hot!! We'll see.....Oh, and next time, listen to your mother. Though the ride back with kettle corn was worth the trip!
