The weekend was great! Mom and I had an adventure together on Friday driving to Buckeystown for the tag sale. The directions from Google were actually WRONG! They said that two roads connected that didn't actually connect. We found another way and when we found the road that we were supposed to take, we saw a good old Dead End sign- meaning the end we were supposed to take definitely didn't exist. Fortunately, we got to where we were going, which was Chartreuse & Company, and it was well worth the directions disaster.
This was taken at an intersection on the way to the tag sale. It was out in farm country and most fields were a beautiful green in the early way of spring.

This is from the upstairs in the first building of Chartreuse & Company. It begin our day of old and new. The colors were especially cool in this building.

This is one of the other buildings at Chartreuse & Company. However, this one involved a bit more effort to find something to take home. Mom found a beautiful tray, as well as a neat little teacup and saucer.

This is the setup out in front of the main barn of Chartreuse & Co. This farm where the buildings are located actually belonged to the grandparents of one of the company's owners/employees, but as they couldn't make it as a farm anymore they cleaned out the barns and renovated it into a shop. It was beautiful to begin with, but learning this story made it even more awesome.

This is one of the furry friends that lingered around the shops. He was in one bed when we got there and had switched to this one by the time we were ready to pay and leave.

This is another shop we stopped at which was really awesome as well. Both are those cool kinds of places where it wont be the same next time we go, which is part of the excitement of visiting such places. We're definitely looking forward to our next trip to each of these places.

On Saturday morning, Mum, sister, and I celebrated UK Mother's Day (which was Sunday) by having afternoon tea... although we had it in the morning so sister could travel to Philly for a visit. We had cucumber sandwiches, tea (of course), fruit, and...

Scones with clotted cream and raspberry preserves. Mmmmmmm, my mouth waters just thinking about it!

So that was the weekend in brief. Like I said, it was a great time and I was so glad to spend time with my Mom. This is already long enough, so I'll post tomorrow about the treasures that I brought home.
Happy Monday!
