Weekend Update and Mason Madness!

First and foremost, I must say GO MASON! The Hubs and I had a great weekend watching basketball. There were some awesome games and we especially enjoyed cheering on our Mason men's basketball team. They played two tough games, one more messy than the other, but have advanced and will compete in the CAA Championship tonight against the VCU Rams. It's going to be a tough game, as VCU has a strong team, but hopefully we can pull it out.
The weather this weekend was beautiful and before we left for Richmond on Saturday, Hubby had to take an exam. I rode to campus with him, because it wouldn't take long, and while he was taking his test I walked around in the glorious sunshine.

I stopped at the Johnson Center and was amused to find this fancy vending machine by one of the entrances. It dispenses all your test-taking needs, like blue books and scantrons, pencils and erasers. They didn't have such things when I was a Mason student!

Um, whoa, it's too early to be saying that about my college years!

I also saw these beauties sprouting up around campus. Soon they'll be even taller and daffodils will bloom from them. I love this sign of spring's upcoming arrival.

But not as much as the sign of spring below. I know it's hard to tell, and you don't have to believe me if you don't want to, but these are robins. I hope to take a better picture of them as soon as I can see them when I have my regular camera (these were all taken with my camera phone). Seeing robins make me so happy and even though they weren't plump, spring robins, they are good enough for now!

p.s. Dear Mom, I promise I'll call (like usual) when I see them again and confirm they are here. I'm sure they'll be flying all over by the time you visit!I hope the warm weather continues, although I think it's supposed to cool down from the weekend's temperatures- just not as cool as it has been. I'm just glad for these signs that spring is on the way!

Blessings and Happy Monday!
