Late night tree glow. Oversized pajama pants. Two sleeping boys. Remarkable peace.
And then I went to bed and tossed and turned and woke up out of a dream this morning. Abel was still sound asleep. Casey had gone to work hours earlier.
I hope to sleep better tonight. I crossed items off my list of Christmas to-dos today, so that should help. And Casey is on vacation from work for the next twelve days. Yippee!
This weekend it will be about finishing up gifts, wrapping, and cleaning house. That will give me freedom to fully enjoy Monday and Tuesday and have little to worry about besides packing for our trip north on Wednesday.
Speaking of Monday and Tuesday, I’ve got a project in mind. Inspired by the Ten on Ten project, I’ll take a photo every waking hour throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I think it will be a special way to document those two days.
I’ve invited my Mom, and plan to invite my sister, to join me. They’ll spend those two days together, so it would be neat to see their different perspectives on the same two days, from the same place.
I hope to post my photos on each respective evening, but we’ll see how things go – I may be too busy basking in the twinkle of the tree… or passing out exhausted from all the merrymaking!
