Just Right

PC180023

Today had a bit too much. Too much quality control tasting in the cookie baking department. Too much stepping on cold food on the floor around Abel’s booster seat. Too much rush when drying off a favorite plate.  Too much dropping of Abel’s best fork.

It also had too little. Too little thread left on my sewing machine to finish a project. Too little sit down and rest. Too little time to fold the laundry if I want to be in bed early.

But you know what? All that too much and too little adds up to just right. Because it adds up to reality, and real is what I’m looking for. These are the problems of a blessed life. Which means they aren’t really problems, but more ordinary disruptions.  Disruptions that represent a developing harmony, not a finished one.  Which is fine with me, because unfinished equals more opportunity.
