A lovely evening for a gala...

Below is my journal entry for Q6. Other than this, I haven't been that creative this week. However, I have been getting to the gym each day and keeping the condo clean and comfortable, which are also very important to me.
It was BEE-YOO-T-FUL today. Below is a picture of the thermometer in my car from my drive home from work this afternoon. I wish I had spent more time outdoors. I did at least open up the windows for a few hours when I got home to let some of the fresh, warmer air in. Winter will be back in the area before the weekend is over and I'm thankful for a break from the dreary cold.
I mentioned it (briefly) on Monday that my sister has a big event tonight. She obtained an amazingly perfect job for herself when she moved from Philadelphia- she is an assistant house manager at Ford's Theater. Tonight the Theater is reopening after eighteen months of renovations and they are having a gala-style event in honor of the reopening and of President Lincoln's birthday (which is tomorrow). It's a celebrity event and I was hoping they'd show more live coverage of it on local news, but after clicking through all the local news channels for like twenty minutes with only a short teaser of coverage, I've given up. I can't wait to hear about my sister's experience!

Just one more day of work and then my long weekend begins! I'm super excited about the trip home and pray that the weather is good on my travel days.

Happy Wednesday!
