Sunday, February 15th

On Sunday, Mom and I got up and went to church. It nice to go and I really enjoyed the service. The pastor gave his sermon by reading from the Bible and discussing and describing what he was reading and I really liked that "technique."

After church, we went home to pick up dessert and then headed to the main event of the weekend and one of the big reasons I was home: the family's annual spaghetti dinner. It was held at my Grama's and even though it was a small crowd this year, we all had a great time. The food is simple: just sghetti, Grama's sauce, and some garlic bread. But boy is it delicious! Food made with love usually is.

Strangely, I only took two pictures while I was there. This is especially strange because baby Logan was there and normally my camera hones in on him. I guess I was just too relaxed to worry about photography, which is a beautiful thing.

The two pictures I did take were of Grama's cat Jake. He is absolutely adorable and both he and his sister have the softest coats I think I've ever pet. I couldn't resist taking his picture while he sat under a lamp, with his tail curled around the base, in the dining room where we all had gathered.

It was a great Sunday and as usual, the family gathering increased my desire to live up north. But I know I'll be closer someday and until then I'll make the most of where I'm at.

Happy Thursday!

I was, of course, looking forward to the photos from Sunday. How ever, I agree that jake is too cute for words, and that I wish I knew why his and Ivy's coats are so soft. I am glad you had a great time. We missed it terribly.
