And there was crafting to be done in Mom's "sewing palace." For years I have desired that Mom make me a bag. I had even picked out a few fabrics. It was not until Monday that my bag dreams finally came to fruition- with a bag that even shared my name (although it's spelled different)!
The best part was that I got to help. I think Mom was a bit ashamed that I had never learned to use a sewing machine until now, but no worries because I've now learned and I can't wait to use it some more!
The darker fabric and an orange fabric (not shown because it became the lining) were ones I chose years ago, and the two others were picked from one of many stacks of awesome fabric that Mom has throughout the "palace."
It was great to get into the "sewing palace" and spend some crafty time with me Mum. I can't wait to get on the sewing machine again and see what we can come up with next!
Hopefully I'll be getting crafty at my own house before my next visit... I'll start with the next two Qs for the 52Q over the weekend to share on Monday. Hopefully some other projects as well (who knows what?), although some time will be taken up tomorrow because I'm finally getting to go back to the range again! I just hope I do as well as the first time and that it wasn't just "beginner's luck"...
Happy Friday and Happy Weekend!
