Cold and wet...

I had a great time with Hubby at the beach. It was wonderful to spend a few days away, just me and him.

Unfortunately, it rained the majority of the time. Actually, rain is the reason for my silly face in the above photo. We were trying to get a picture on the boardwalk before a large dark cloud completely opened up on us. The wind was crazy and we had to run for shelter as soon as this pic was taken!Fortunately, we didn't let it bother us! Hubby braved the FREEZING water to boogie board and do a little swimming, while I cuddled in a blanket in my chair on the beach and enjoyed the sound of the crashing waves.We saw dolphins from the room before dinner on the first night, which was a wonderful thing. I also saw them on Sunday while Hubs was in the shower before we headed out for the day. I was so glad to have a good camera with plenty of zoom, though it's really hard to use digital zoom on something when you don't know when it's going to come out of the water!And of course, we ate plenty of good food, including breakfast on Sunday at a place we've been before- The Log Cabin Pancake House.

I am so thankful for time with the one I love, especially at a place that is sentimental to both of us. We are beach lovers, and even in the rain, we love spending our time with the sand between our toes and the sound of the ocean in our ears.
