Prizes!

Mom brought me some presents when she came to visit this past weekend. Thanks Mom! :)

First is a stack of books and a couple of awesome doilies...

I have an idea for how I'll use these and I'll share once I execute my plan for them.

Last time she visited we talked about lamps for my master bedroom. I found one I kind of liked at Chartreuse, but I went to look around and when I came back it was gone. In the end, though, it's okay it was gone because Mom found me the ones below, which are even better! I'll be painting white the wood piece (surrounded by cord) and the gold part where the bulb goes.

Not only is my Mom great at picking out lamps, she is also great at picking out bed linens! Hubs and I had some money left on a gift card (wedding present) for the linen company she works at. I was planning on buying shams with the remainder and she picked out the perfect set! Not only that, in addition to shams she got us a whole new set of sheets! Woo, go Mom! :)

The next set of prizes are the purchase I made on Sunday- two awesome mirrored stars. I've been brainstorming about where to use them and have a few good ideas. Again, I'll share photos once they've found a home.

So those are my prizes! I'm so lucky to have a Mom who knows me well enough to pick out stuff I love... not to mention lucky to have a Mum who gifts me things just because!

Like I said yesterday, I'm on a bit of a home decor inspiration overload. I'm honing in on my style and can't wait to get started on some real projects. More to come on that soon... hopefully!
