Da Beach.

Since 2005, Hubby and I have taken an annual trip to Virginia Beach (except for last year because we had to save money for our honeymoon!). Normally we take the trip in the fall, but this year we're going in the spring. And when I say spring, I mean we're leaving tomorrow and coming back Sunday! WAHOO!

We'll be enjoying the surf and the sand, as well as a few restaurants that have become favorites over the three years worth of visits we've taken down there together.

One place is the 18th Street Cafe, which is where the below photo was taken during our '07 trip. They have outdoor seating right on the beach and we often stop for a cold beverage after spending the day taking turns between relaxing in the sunshine and making our way out to the sandbar to boogie board.

We are both super excited to make our way down tomorrow. Hopefully traffic isn't too bad (ha, that's a big expectation for VA!) and the weather is nice. There may be a few scattered thunderstorms, but we don't mind as long as they pass through quickly!

So, there wont be a post here tomorrow, but check back Monday for some pics of the weekend- maybe I'll even be able to capture some dolphins off the shoreline like I've done in the past... this time, though, with a much better camera!
