Happy Friday!

"It's finally Friday, I'm outa control,
Forget the workin' blues, And let the good times roll!"

Thanks, George.

This week wasn't particularly busy at work and today was especially slow because I didn't have much work to do. Fortunately, it actually didn't drag by too badly, plus it was one of the detectives' birthdays, so there was cake... mm, from scratch German chocolate with amazing coconut frosting, which I haven't had since I was like twelve. It was delicious.

I have some goals for this weekend, including getting caught up on my Learn Something New pages, working on two different sets of invitations (one set for my friend's wedding and the other set for my Grama's vow renewal), and no doubt some other creative projects I've had on my list and haven't gotten started yet.

Oh, and tomorrow I'm going to the Maryland Renaissance Festival with Hubby and some friends from my work. My sister and I went a couple years ago and it was a great time- she knew someone who was performing in an aerial act, which was really cool. And finally, before I go, I must share this video which brings me great joy and a smile. You very likely have already seen it since it's made it's way to TV, but in case you haven't, enjoy!

Blessings and Happy Friday!
