LSNED, Part 2

As you know if you've been checking in this week, last night I started the Learn Something New Every Day class at shimelle.com.

I sat down at the desk in my newly organized guest room/office/creative space and selected papers that struck my fancy for this project. The colors I leaned toward kind of make me think fall, especially the oranges.

I'm not worried worried about being matchy matchy with my prints/designs either. As long as it all coordinates, that's fine with me.
I was trying to decide what to do with my first paged based on kind of what I wrote last night on here. I was finally inspired by this sheet of decorative paper...
And I narrowed in on the perfect little piece for this project in the upper right hand corner of the page.
I didn't really want to cut the page up, plus I wanted the image much bigger, so I scanned it and printed it out to fit on my page.

My pages for this project are 5.5x8.5, but I'm only using 5.5x6.5 and am leaving the remaining two inches at the top for binding when I'm done.

For the first day I've used the front for the image and the back for journaling. I'll probably use this format throughout. It kind of weirds me out that people can read the journaling on this one, but I'll get over it.

I haven't even started the page for today because I had to run errands after work, but I will have it and the page for tomorrow done for tomorrow's post. Actually, I may be posting twice tomorrow because I'm thinking of also participating in Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

Woo, it's amazing what I can accomplish when I keep the TV turned off! (Hint hint for one of the things I've learned!)

Blessings and Happy Wednesday!
