Weee!

Life is, per usual, passing by like a whirlwind. It lifts me up and twirls me around as I try to live each day to the fullest.

The work week started slow, but became quite busy as I found out one of the detectives seems to think I'm Transcript Wonder Woman and would like me to transcribe a bunch of jail phone calls (an unlikely I'm going to get them all done bunch) before a trial date next week.

Then today I told the captain I'd get together and mail out the written test notification letters for the current police hiring process... which as of today consisted of 123 applicants... because Personnel was throwing a hissy because they are "understaffed."

It may sound stressful (or maybe not), but I actually kind of love it. I like being busy at work and I like being able to help out in any way I can.

Then after I've put my hours in at my day job, I come home and play house- which is my favorite. This week I've been pretty good at balancing housekeeping and creating- which are the activities I most like to be filling my time with. I've kept things tidy, just the way I like them, and have also been making quiet time to work on Learn Something New Every Day.

I am one day behind in my pages since the holiday weekend, but hope to finish today and tomorrow's pages tomorrow so I can be caught up before the upcoming weekend.

I'm loving my work space in the guest room...

Especially this little angel that holds up my completed pages.

I also like my curious little kitties who huddle round when the printer is working because they aren't quite sure what to make of it.
It's been a good week and I'm really looking forward to continuing the Learn Something New Every Day class and also just becoming better and better at filling my day with more meaningful activities... and less time in front of the TV. I hope you can do the same!

Blessings and Happy Thursday!
