Five Things

{ 1. Irene might have been a dud in NoVa, but Lee was not.  The storm poured lots of rain on us this week, causing lots of flooding.  Thankfully, I don’t think the damage is as bad as Vermont and although Casey’s commute last night was almost 3 hours, we both made it home safely through the watery mess that was the roads yesterday. }

{ 2. Baby shower thrown by Bible study friends.  Just a small gathering, but very thoughtful.  The cupcakes were amazing – I had a pumpkin one with maple frosting and it was so delicious. }

{ 3. A late pregnancy dinner… maybe the closest to craving I’ve gotten: broccoli cheddar soup with French baguette and a cinnamon crunch bagel with plain cream cheese for dessert. }

{ 4. We bought the rest of the supplies for the floors today and hopefully we’ll get them laid this weekend, unless the little guy has other plans (see below). }

Prestige August Oak 10mm Thick x 7-5/8 in. Wide x 47-1/2 in. Length Laminate Flooring (17.59 sq. ft./case)

{5. No photo for this one, but I had my 38 week appointment today.  Weight is good, blood pressure is good, and she didn’t make me an appointment for next week… well, not a regular one.  I’m about 3-3.5cm dilated and I’ve got an induction appointment next Friday morning.  The doctor said, though, that she thinks I’ll go naturally before then.  So, this time next week, I should be holding my bundle of boy.  Holy crap, I know! }
