It's been a really busy week at work and it seems like the evenings have slipped away from me, though not enough so that I haven't gotten anything done. We did have a bit of a catastrophe on Sunday... our TV died. I'm not sure how my husband has survived, but he's keeping on... and he'll have to continue to keep on until next Tuesday, which is when the repairman is coming.
Fortunately, we leave in just about an hour (at around 11am) to head north for a long weekend. He's going to our buddy's beach house in Milford, CT and I'm going to Rhode Island to camp with my Mom and some other family at the same place we went this time last year.
His weekend will likely be filled with sunning himself and plenty of adult beverages. Oh, and of course getting swarmed by lots of chicks because our buddy was, as you know, on the show the Bachelorette.
HA HA HA.
Anyways, my weekend will be quieter. We're planning to go to the beach tomorrow at least, but that's about all we've got actually planned. I'm sure, though, that there will be plenty of good talks, a bit of reading and journaling, card games, s'mores, maybe a bit of Apples to Apples, and tons of outdoor time... obvi, we're camping.
The weather is supposed to be gorgeous tomorrow and just about as good on Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it. All I know is getting out of this upper 9os humid disgustingness will be amazing.
Let's just pray the traffic on the way up this afternoon (and on the way back on Sunday) are amazing... as in as free and clear as possible of slow downs and accidents and general stoppage.
