It’s still dead.

No, nothing serious, just the TV.

Hmm, my husband might disagree, because when he’s not working or at class, TV is his life.  And life is serious.

Okay, maybe to say TV is is his life is a bit dramatic, but either way, the great rival for my husband’s attention stopped working last Sunday (the 20th) and hasn’t come back on since.  The repairman came on Tuesday to check it out and unfortunately the problem is not the part that Samsung replaces for free.

Of course it isn’t.  Is it ever the free part that’s broken?  Not in this house.

So, we’ve got to decide whether to have the guy come back and try the two parts he said he thought it was, risking that they may not be right and we’d still have to pay him for labor and then figure out what to do next, or replace it.

In the meantime, I have been blessed with a quiet house, free of the number one time-wasting distraction in my life.  I’ve eaten dinner at the table the past two nights, reading and taking notes in one of the books I’m currently studying (Refuse to Choose by Barbara Sher).  When dinner is over and chores are done, it’s off to the guest room to play, at the very least pasting, doodling, painting, drawing, and writing (one or all of the above) in my every day journal.

I’ve enjoyed the quiet so much that I recommended to Casey that we just go without the TV for awhile.

He pretty much laughed in my face.
