Marshmellows!

It was one of those afternoons. Most of my work day was slow, as it has been for days. Then it got to be about three o'clock. I normally (haha, normally- as in the past two days and long ago when I went to the gym regularly) go to the gym at three and then leave work at four. Not today. One of the detectives handed me a five-hundred plus page transcript that he needed two copies of, which then needed to be put in binders separated in six sections, with tabbed sheet covers, and content sheets for each section. And of course while I was on a roll with that, two citizens needing fingerprints came in at the same time. I really wanted to get the binders done today, so I didn't get to the gym and I didn't leave until after four o'clock. But it's okay because I'd rather work a little harder than look like a total slack and leave without the job done.

I stopped at Target on the way home to pick up a couple of their green and red storage bins... and some milk. I almost got in trouble because I made the mistake of walking through the Christmas section. I've kind of been avoiding anything Christmas, but I'm starting to feel the spirit and I just couldn't help myself. Fortunately, I didn't go crazy (even though I really wanted to) and I only bought what I went in for- the storage bins and milk. I'll probably be back though because some of their stuff is really beautiful... especially some of the dishes... I'm a sucker for dishes. And silver deer. I loved those last year and I'm getting myself some this year, by goodness!

I let the lazy-bug bite me this evening and came home to the recliner with a bowl of generic brand lucky charms cereal and a cup of hot cocoa with extra marshmellows. I know, it's awful. Especially because I didn't go to the gym. But you know what, I'm not going to scold myself for it. Sometimes you've just got to be a bum! I promise (myself) I won't make it a habit!

Tomorrow is Friday and then the weekend will be here and then next week will be here and then it will be Wednesday and I'll be on my way home to Vermont for Thanksgiving. I am SO excited! I love turkey-dinner and I love spending time with my amazing family and I just can't wait!!!!!

Happy Thursday and enjoy your Friday!

Good job at Target. It can be so hard topass by so many tempting things. But, one thing I have learned is that I can always go back. If it is still there, then I can buy it. Otherwise, maybe it is not so important after all.

Wow, it gives me a belly ache just thinking about all the sweetness of hot cocoa and marshmellow filled cereal. But, still it sounds tempting...
