I woke up this morning and came downstairs to see this out the windows. My sister was very happy to see snowflakes... she just wished they would be a little more substantial! We were glad to have her here both yesterday and today as she does not have to work until tomorrow. She's left now to go back to Philly and we hope she travels and arrives safely.
I had my second Thanksgiving today, this time with Hubby's family. It's great to see the different dynamic they have as compared to my family. We enjoyed a delicious meal and some intensely sweet desserts- I had a slice of maple pie and a piece of chocolate peanut butter fudge. I think I could have passed out from the sweetness.
Yesterday's Thanksgiving was, of course, the best of all. I absolutely adore my family and I am always so glad to spend an afternoon surrounded by all of them. We had 23 people all gathered in my parents' dining room, but there were no complaints about the tight quarters and everyone was in very good spirits.

Tonight I will go out to the local bar with all my besties and celebrate Hubby's birthday, which is tomorrow. And then tomorrow morning is the card "party" and then I'll be doing a bit of shopping with Mum and then tomorrow night we'll have dinner and cake at Hubby's parents' house for his birthday. It's been a full weekend, but I love it and I'm not looking forward to Sunday when I have to go back to VA... thankfully, though, it will only be for a few weeks and then I'll be back in VT for a whole week! WOO!
Happy Friday and have an awesome weekend!
