This is my 200th post! Sadly, the content is rather bland and the number is the only thing that's at all exciting.
My weekend was fantastic. The weather was absolutely beautiful, even with a cool wind, and we kept the windows open during the day both Saturday and Sunday. Sister and I sat on the porch a bit on Sunday and it was glorious. Unfortunately, the clouds and rain rolled in this morning and it's supposed to cool off significantly tonight. But that's okay during the week, as long as it warms and suns back up by Friday!
We went to church yesterday (we being Hubby, Sister, and I) and it was very nice. I was glad to be there and glad to have loved ones with me. Sister said she'll go on Good Friday as well and I'm really looking forward to that. Then we'll all go together again on Easter. I wish we could be home in VT for Easter (as does my Mom!), but some doofus made the end (aka the busiest) part of tax season the week right after Easter, making it really hard for a tax accountant and his wife to travel to see their long-distance families for this important holiday. But even though it's a bummer, I'll be thankful to share it with those I do have near.
I was almost really grumpy this afternoon when I got back because we had our 11-month inspection fixes for the condo and one of the fixes was fixing some creases in the ceiling- aka applying and sanding of drywall compound- aka REALLY DUSTY EVERYWHERE when I got home. This was especially frustrating because I've been working on spring cleaning and it kind of reversed some of the work I'd already done.
But instead of being a jerk I cranked up my iTunes and dusted off things previously dusted, hit the spring cleaning list for this week, and made a yummy dinner for sister and I of lemon chicken, rice, and broccoli. I felt so much better after the cleaning was done and dinner was eaten!
It felt so good to work through that and stay positive. That's something I'm really working on and am glad to be developing some help with my attitude (aka my relationship with the Big Guy Upstairs).
And now I'm going to shush because this may not be an exciting post, but it's certainly becoming a long one... and without pictures, ugh. Tomorrow I'll have some photos of journal pages to share, including one inspired by the service yesterday, and I promise I'll keep the text minimal to even out for today's post!
Blessings and Happy Monday!
