This weekend was quite lovely, especially Saturday. Plenty of warm and glorious sunshine. Then on Sunday afternoon the sky began to cloud over and this morning when I left for work it was raining. And the rain hasn't stopped all day. I know the rain is needed in the spring, for flowers to bloom and trees to bud and spread their leaves, but it'd be nice if it would just rain one day a week... or even better, just at night so that we can enjoy sunshine during the day. Now that would be truly glorious!
I am thankful, though, for the sunshine filled days we are blessed with and also with the beautiful flowers and green leaved trees that thrive in the rain.
Going back to the beginning of the weekend, on Friday night Hubby and I went to his firm's end-of-tax-season party. It was a lot of fun! They have casino games where you get fifty thousand in play money and then play (or not) in order to win tickets (ten thousand per ticket) to put towards prizes. I played black jack and came out with more than I started with! Even better, I got the prize I was hoping for, which is shown below:
Um, I suppose that's all for today. The weekend was great and today was just another Monday. Though tonight I will be doing the Bible study that we were given at church on Sunday. It wasn't the relationship series that the pastor had spoken about last week, but it's still a great focus: being the hands and feet of Jesus. So I'm hoping to get a lot out of it. I'm certainly growing in my faith, really more and more every day, and I'm so thankful.
I'm also thankful for a husband who can make delicious homemade pizza dough, which we will enjoy tonight... cooked with toppings of course! YUM!
Blessings to you all and Happy Monday!
