Hello to you all on this Good Friday. I am home today and have been keeping myself busy... but in a relaxing way! I went for a walk this morning, did an aerobics DVD, finished my spring cleaning in the kitchen, and worked a bit in my journal. I've also scanned some photos for my "Then and Now" for the tag from
Learning to Be a Wife.
Here is my "Then":

For the "Now," I combined with the "Keeping It Real" tag that's going around. The left picture is, obviously, me on my wedding day... which is like eight-months-ago now. The one on the right is me today, taken right before I started this post.

Below is the lovely Easter gift Hubby and I received from Mum yesterday, all tied up with a pretty bow...

And topped with a great handmade card with a reminder of the real "reason for the season." Sure that's a line usually used around Christmas, but it works this time of year too. Without the sacrifice Jesus made, there would be no eggs, candy, and bunnies.

Not that the candy part isn't appreciated! Oh how I love me a peanut butter egg! :)

This is the journal layout I worked on today using the above premise that although the candy and stuff is good, it's the forgiveness and glory of God and of Jesus that are the most important parts of this weekend. The first page turned out a bit tacky in my opinion, but the thought is important and so I'm not going to be too critical of myself.
I was glad to be able to incorporate a "forget me not" I found on my walk this morning- it's taped above the card on the right. I thought it was quite fitting.

I hope everyone has a fabulous Easter weekend. I'm sad to be away from the majority of my family, but I'm so glad to have my sister and husband to share Sunday's "Sonrise" service and hopefully a delicious Easter breakfast afterwards!
Blessings and Happy Friday!
