Thunderin' Tuesday...

It was cloudy all day, though the sun shone through a bit and it was quite warm. This all came together into a brief thunderstorm this afternoon after I got home from work. I took this picture just after I got home:

And this one like five minutes later. The storm passed quickly, the sun came out between the clouds, and then it was clouded all over again.

Even though I prefer sunshine, I love thunderstorms. I especially enjoy watching them come into view from the safety of our balcony. You can watch the dark clouds form and roll towards and over our condo building. I've always loved lightning and used to watch it as a kid from our front porch, so I suppose that's why I like it from the balcony now.

Today was another quick and quite uneventful day. One thing that did happen that's a bummer is that one of my favorite detectives got notified that he is being promoted to sergeant and will therefore move to midnights and out of CID. Congrats to him for the opportunity, but I'm going to miss his flashy nature that is expressed by lots of jokes, laughter, and dress shirts with matching tie and cuff links. I seriously could write a novel with characters based on the real-life detectives I work with.

Hmm, maybe I'll start working on that. It's a dream to write such things.

In the meantime, I'll be creative in my journal and work on starting some other projects I continue to think about. I think too much and need to start putting stuff in motion. Time moves along too quickly to wait!
