Tired Tuesday.

I don't know what was up this afternoon, but I was feeling pretty tired. I was trying to type up a transcript and my head hurt a little and my eyes didn't really want to stay open. It's probably because I haven't been sleeping well because I'm too wired before I go to bed. My crazy mind just doesn't want to take a break and my thoughts fly all about.I did some journal writing last night in hopes of easing it a bit and I think that helped a little, but I guess not quite enough to keep me peppy all day today.

Or maybe it was the fact that transcribing interviews is one of the most boring things in the world and wearing the headphones for long periods of time makes my brain feel squashed.

Anyways, I said I wouldn't type much today but that I would have a few pictures- hence the pretty kitty. I also said I would share some journal pages I worked on over the weekend and finished up last night.

This first one is one I was inspired to do during my commute. People are always frustrating me by waiting until the very last second to get in the lane they need to be in to turn. Of course, this page is about more than just driving. It relates to my desire to become a better person, especially a better Christian, before I get nearer to death. I don't mean to be morbid, I just would like to make this life worth something for more years than less and I'm really working on that right now.

This next one was inspired by the Palm Sunday church service... which is quite obvious by the palm cross on the second page. The sermon focused on Jesus' trip into Jerusalem and how He rode a donkey, just like He had many times before. The pastor talked about donkeys at the Grand Canyon and how they like to walk along the edge so they can see where it is. He asked if we would be the donkey for Jesus, to live on the edge for Him. There was also reference to how the people treated Jesus like a king, like the king He was, on that trip into Jerusalem, which is referenced by my asking if "I" will carry Jesus as my king.

UPDATE: Check out this post at A Haven For Vee for a related post about donkeys. Huh, who knew they were so popular? :)

I'm so glad to be inspired by different things and to be able to express them in a way that I hope is not only inspiring to others, but that also will act as inspiration to me in the future when I look back on my creations.

Blessings and Happy Tuesday!
