On Saturday, I traveled to Philadelphia with a friend and her roommate. Neither of them had been and I was glad to help navigate.
Our first stop was the Mutter Museum, which is at the College of Physicians. It's a museum filled with medical anomalies and let me tell you, I will not be going back. It was far more creepy than cool, though definitely had some interesting stuff, but the price of admission is too much to go twice.
After the museum we walked to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. We didn't go inside either place, but enjoyed a nice seat and some people watching at the park outside Independence Hall.
From Independence Hall we walked another way back to the car. Along the way we saw lots of cool statues/figures, including the giant game pieces outside City Hall and "The Love." From "The Love" we continued to the car and drove to Pat's for cheesesteaks. Mmm mmm mmm! I love me some cheesesteak from Pat's!
After we stuffed ourselves with the deliciousness we got back in the car and made our way to see the "Rocky steps." We couldn't really run up them in Rocky fashion after eating cheesesteak, but we did make it to the top to enjoy the view.
From Rocky's steps we got back in the car and headed home. There was a great sunset over Baltimore, as well as some crazy clouds and a bit of lightning.
We finished off the day hanging out at another friend's house. It was a fun ending to an awesome day. I'm lucky to have local friends to spend fun times with and I look forward to our next adventure!
Blessings and Happy Tuesday!
