Get inspired, be creative.

This is going to be a fairly short post. I have little to share as it seems as if I've done nothing but work the past few days, even if the work days have gone by pretty quickly.

Even though time has felt a little rushed, I did make the time last night to get creative. I really want to start creating every day. It's a wonderful release to just sit yourself down and let your mind get your hands moving. It's great to create with purpose, but often the best way to release and express is to just sit down and let your subconscious take charge. Of course you are thoughtful about what you are doing, but rather than having a plan you just let things take shape as you go.

I used this "technique" last night. I took out my journal and my scrap paper folder and just started grabbing scraps of paper. I ended up with some that turned into a color scheme. I started to do a basket weave kind of thing.
Then I decided I wanted to add a print of some kind matted to the second page. I remembered I have an Alphonse Mucha postcard book and looked in it to see what I could find. I was very pleased to find a beautiful one that used the same colors I was already working with.

I matted the card on white first, then blue, then orange. I love Alphonse Mucha and find his work beautiful and inspiring, hence the text "be inspired to inspire." I would love to have what inspires me cause me to create something that inspires someone else.
Below is the final layout. I used the left page to journal on, using the blue and orange stripes as lines for text.
Hopefully I'll have the next 52Q to share tomorrow. Tonight I hope to get some reading done... or just lounge with Hubby, who is FINALLY done with his busy season and is home early tonight. I've missed him so!

Though I'll probably be sick of him in a few days, haha.

Blessings and Happy Tuesday!
